Zero years after the Battle of Yavin (35:7:18) in the Brentaal system: Brentaal IV (Cormond: Ardent family estate), in the Essesia system: Esseles (Calamar), and in the Kessel system: Retributive Strike.
Baroness Hanna Ardent and El-Nay Darr.

The Mandalorian bounty hunter El-Nay Darr moved silently through the streets of Calamar on the planet Esseles, the third wheel in a trio of hunters working on a high priority Imperial contract for the local governor. She stood out in the crowd due to the distinct orange color of her beskar'gam, which did little to aid in her concealment, but it was the color that symbolized her shereshoy and she would not change it, despite the difficulties it could bring in combat. It was then that she decided to check the local bounties to see if there were any easy contracts she could undertake on her own. A sea of pedestrians moved out of her path as she moved towards a HoloNet terminal where she began to peruse a list of available contracts. The Rebel activity and the strong Imperial response that had resulted meant that there were very few bounties on the register, but one that caught her eye involved a young noblewoman on the planet Brentaal IV just one sector over. "Why would anyone want her?" she asked herself aloud, before downloading the details and proceeding on her way.

The young Baroness Hanna Ardent had just returned from a lavish affair featuring many gathered dignitaries from the Brentaal Houses. She was seated at her vanity in her expansive bedchamber, as she began remove the expensive baubles that she had placed upon her body to showcase her family's supposed wealth. When the last piece was removed she set to the task of removing the ornate braidwork in her hair that was necessary for such formal occasions, and to that end she raised a golden brush to her red hair to begin straightening it. She enjoyed her lifestyle and the wealth and influence her family exerted over the important Core World.

From the balcony El-Nay Darr was watching the attractive young woman brush her hair, and was again confused as to why a Hutt crime lord would have placed a bounty on her. Her hand moved to the side of her buy'ce to bring the targeting scanner down. As she scanned the area she could detect no weapons, no security presence whatsoever. She knew that she was inexperienced and she began to worry that she was at the wrong location, so before striking she made a point to verify the location and the identity of the target. Convinced she had the right information she rushed in through the balcony and raised her DT-57 heavy blaster pistol at the young woman. "Do not move!" she ordered from the beneath the confines of her helmet, as she took several steps towards the frightened noblewoman.

Hanna let loose a horrified scream as she saw the bounty hunter in the orange armor crash through her balcony. In a panic she grabbed her hair brush and threw it as hard as she could at the woman, but it harmlessly bounced off the much stronger Mandalorian Iron it impacted. "Who are you? Get out of here! Get out of here at once!" she both questioned and demanded, before rising from her seat to move towards the panic button that her father had installed as a precaution in wake of recent Rebel attacks.

Beneath the buy'ce, El-Nay could not help but roll her eyes at the Baroness' pitiful attempt to 'attack' her with the hairbrush. When the woman rose from the seat what seemed like it would be a simple detention risked turning into an incident, and reluctantly she squeezed back on the trigger of her blaster to unleash a stun bolt at the woman. As she dropped to the ground unconscious, she moved holstered her pistol, and moved towards the fallen Hanna. "I told you not to move," she said, with a hint of annoyance in her voice, as she knelt beside her unconscious form. She tore at some of the ornate flourishes on the dress and made makeshift restraints for her wrists and ankles. Convinced that they would hold for the short duration of her journey, she hoisted the young woman over her shoulder and moved back out to the balcony. An instant later she activated JT-12 jetpack and flew off towards where she had landed her ship. "That was easy," she said to herself, with a hint of regret, but she knew that for every bounty she claimed she would increase her reputation.

"Ugh" Hanna groaned as she awoke from the effects of the stun bolt. She had a splitting headache and her vision had not yet been fully restored, but she could tell that she was no longer in the comfort of her bedchamber. "Oh ... where am I?" she murmured as she regained consciousness, but as she attempted to move she could feel that her wrists and ankles had been bound. Then it began to come back to her as she remembered her assailant and began to scream, and thrash about wildly.

El-Nay sighed as she heard her 'passenger' begin to scream, and she immediately unstrapped herself from her seat and moved back to the small cargo compartment where Hanna was restrained. Her helmet had been removed, exposing her beautiful young face, with her striking gray eyes, and short blonde hair with shaved sides that revealed her natural brown roots. A partially smoked cigarra was tucked between her lips, which she quickly withdrew from her mouth before speaking. "All that screaming won't do you any good," she informed her, with a firm nod of her head. "Now why don't you settle down. We'll be at our destination soon," she said, as she began checking the makeshift restraints to ensure she would not cause her any trouble in the tight confines of the small craft.

Hanna's eyes went wide when she saw her attacker was a woman of roughly the same age ... she did not expect that. "Why are you doing this to me?" she asked, helplessly, as she struggled in vain to sit herself up so that she could better look at the Mandalorian. "Release me at once!" she demanded, as she rocked back and forth on the small cot she had been placed upon. "I have done nothing to you. Why are you doing this to me?" she questioned her captor, as the tears began to flow from her eyes from the frustration of her situation and the pain caused by the restraints.

El-Nay bit her lower lip for a moment before taking a slow drag of her cigarra, stubbing what was left of it out as she exhaled a plume of the toxic smoke. "Look lady. I don't decide who I go after. All I know is that some Hutt slime lord on Kessel wants you ... and he's paying me ... so he gets you," she said, coldly, and devoid of any emotion, before turning her attention back to the navcomputer to see how much time they had left on their journey. "You can ask him when we get there. It won't be too long now," she informed her, as she turned her head back to make eye contact with her once again. She wished that her prey had been more sporting, but it seemed that the war had preoccupied most of the best targets.

"Kessel?! I don't want to go Kessel..." Hanna complained, as the realization of how far from her home she was ... in fact, she had never been this far from home before. "Look. If this is just about money then turn this ship around, and my family will pay much more than this Hutt you speak of," she reasoned, hoping that the financial motivations could be used to her advantage. She believed her family to be quite wealthy, as she had been unaware of how much of their fortune her father had squandered.

El-Nay cringed softly as she listened to her pleading, and began fumbling anxiously for her buy'ce. As she placed it back firmly upon her head she felt a safety and confidence that did not exist when it was off. From beneath her T-visor she glared at the young woman, as she tried to intimidate her into submission. "There is no honor to be had in breaking a contract. I have agreed to deliver you, and I will deliver you!" she informed her in a loud, booming voice, before turning her back to her move back towards the cockpit. As she strapped herself into the seat she sat there silently wondering what honor was to be had in 'hunting' someone like Hanna, but there was no time to think about it as the vessel soon exited hyperspace.
